She graduated in language teaching from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara.

She is a teacher in education and teaching practice from the Universidad Iberoamericana Torreón, in addition to having different diplomas and certifications for her participation in different conferences and training workshops for linguists.

As a teacher she has taught different subjects related to language teaching, translation and interpretation.

She is currently a member of the OMT (Mexican Organization of Translators) based in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco.

In 1998 she founded the Center for Languages and Cultures of the Universidad Iberoamericana Torreón and in 2005 she founded, together with other academics, Kantigi Creative Learning of Languages and Linguistic Services which she directs to this day.
With more than 15 years of experience in the field of translation and interpretation.

From a very young age, María Matilde was inclined to learn languages, which led her to study abroad seeking to expand her knowledge of the languages and culture of different countries; focusing on English, French and Italian.

She is a Master in Ericksonian Psychotherapy from the Ericksonian Center of Mexico and has a Specialty in University Teaching from the Universidad Iberoamericana Torreón.

She holds various diplomas and certifications focused on the area of psychology and education.

She has developed in the field of education and psychotherapy along with her career as an interpreter and translator thanks mainly to her mastery of the English language and her work as an educator and teacher has been carried out in said language.

She is currently in the process of appointing her as an expert translator through which she will expand her participation as a translator and interpreter as part of the Kantigi Servicios Lingüísticos team.
